Updating Galaxy Fit android Gingerbread 2.3.4

Today updated my Galaxy Fit to gingerbread. The performance improved remarkably. Many bugs are fixed & getting a new glassy look. The battery is improved considerably. I am getting a detailed view of all my applications & the net access is faster than previous one.

The steps to update:-

1.) you have to be sure of these things before updating otherwise your phone may be bricked.
  •           Battery should be charged fully.
  •           Backup all your contacts & Data.
  •           Remove Memory card  & SIM from the phone.
  •           OS is not rooted before if its rooted please unroot things first.
  •           All files are downloaded correctly.
2.) First, you will have to download the Samsung Galaxy Fit update to Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread package, which you can grab from here. Once the file is downloaded in your computer, please unzip the “GalaxyFIT_S5670_XEKPG.zip” file on your desktop (if prompted for password, type in “androidadvices.com” – without the quotation marks).

3.) After this, just open the "Odin Multi uploader" file from the extracted folder and then you will have to now turn the phone Off as you will have to turn your phone ON in the download mode.

4.) Please note that the download mode can be entered by holding the Volume Down button + the Home key button (the middle button). While holding these both buttons, you need to switch ON your device. Now, if you have successfully entered into the download mode then you will see a green screen . Please note that if the device boots in the normal mode with the home screen then retry the process and if despite retrying you are unable to get into download mode then you will have to fix the download mode error for your phone.

5.) Now, as soon as you get into the download mode, you will have to connect the Galaxy FIT S 5670 to the computer with the help of USB cable while Odin opened in the desktop. As soon as you connect the phone, you will see that first ID:COM box as shown below will turn yellow and in the message box you will see that it will show ADDED and after that you will have to add the files respectively as shown below, OPS -- BENI_v1.0.ops, BOOT -- APBOOT_S5670XXKPG_CL233102_REV01_user_low_true.tar.md5, Phone -- MODEM_S5670XXKPG_CL233102_REV01.tar.md5, PDA -- CODE_S5670XXKPG_CL233102_REV01_user_low_true.tar.md5, CSC -- CSC_S5670SERKPG_CL233102_REV01_user_low_true.tar.md5,

6.) As soon as you feed in the files, you will have to double check the same and then you will have to proceed and click on the "Start" option to start the firmware update process. After clicking on the start, you will see that the firmware will be installed in your phone within a time of not more than 5 minutes.

7.) Then change the language from Settings--> Locale & Text (which contains "A" as icon)--> Select first option then change the language .
