Glass Walls :: Workplace Relations

If we observe most of the corporate buildings build with glass walls. There are some other glass walls inside the buildings which outsiders cannot understand until they expose . The walls we see outside built with glass, But the stealthy walls which present inside the workplace build with human negative emotions such as ( hatredfearego, anger, greed, desires, sadness, comparison, jealousy, envy, depression, guilt, loneliness, shame, shyness, worthlessness, feeling of abandonment, lack of direction, lack of enthusiasm, feeling of betrayal, feeling inferior).

At some point of work life most of us will observe these. The colleagues will sit meters apart  But they need mails to communicate (Here words are more precious than diamonds) . People afraid to share there knowledge with `fear of inferiority`. People want to claim others work to show `they are performing`. They will take minutes to complete work but `hours to communicate`. Your success or achievement may brings u byproducts like `jealousy , hatred`. They words utter from mouth but they are very far to heart. All these are the effect of hidden glass walls.

How to move ahead of these Glass walls ??

We have some magic keys and doors to pass through these hidden glass walls. The magic doors are  peace, love, kindness, compassion, happiness, joy . And the magic keys to open these doors are magic words Please , sorry , Thank-you.  Not only workplace in any relationship we can break the glass walls by these magic keys and doors.

can love happens twice

This book  is a sequel to "I Too Had a Love Story" - by ravinder singh. We know how tragically his first love story ends.

Ravin looking for a change, at the same time luckily he got an onsite opportunity to  Brussels ,Belgium. There he met with Simar (who is doing her MBA in Brussels). They fall in love it continues for some time. Unlike Kushi Simar came from a rich family and she is more individualistic. She always thinks about her dreams. She leaves him .. After the breakup he depressed and admitted to a rehabilitation center in simla.

On valentines day Ravins friends narrated his story in a radio station at Chandigarh.

Simar realized her mistake and came to simla to meet ravin.

I will give 2/5 for this book. Its not as good as his first one . He tries to create reading sense admitting in rehab and break-up again. The story is not realistic too...

Performance appraisal

By putting ourselves in the shoes of lead we will understand how difficult it is to give rating or appraisal at the end of the year. They have to consider many facts and satisfy everyone (its really impossible). At the same time the role of  lead ..he should be responsible to identify who is the buttering  and who is the working-hard .

But too bad thing is giving worst rating to hard-working people . Giving good rating to buttering people. It derails team morals and performance , if it continues finally the team loose the spirit to work , Since the latter seems to be more productive. Whole team members opt for later one finally no people left to work in the team .

What lead will say..... about bad rating ::  ( Just for fun and reality)

  1. You will get a good rating next time.
  2. As a fresher it wont effect you much.
  3. You have been given better rating last time, so give chance to others.

I too had a love story

Its a good book by Ravinder Singh. I completed the whole book in one stretch. The story seems very natural and real. The romance , late night conversations between kushi and ravin fuels reading.
Ravin is a kind of guy who never thought he fall in love. He came to know about shaadi.com , and updated his profile . Finally fall in love with a girl who saw his profile and calls him.
Kushi is little bit childish. She is always cheerful and happy. She leaves some of her marks on shona (ravis nick name by kushi)  like telling one good thing before hanging up .
The author also nicely described how to make a successful relationship. Like talking after fight. some little things like walking on phase with kushi at the hotel.
Finally its a "Candid and lucidly written " readable.
