next step in MBA

     Group Discussions and Personal Interviews are the next step after completion of entrance exam process. In the exam process they (Institutes) only see our academic qualification they not really know what we are ( our personality).

These Group Discussions and personal Interviews help them(Institutes) to achieve the above. They use various evaluation techniques to identify  what really we are so it is better for us to acquire the qualities (skills like leadership qualities, team facilitation, positive attitude) required by the MBA professionals.Even though it is difficult to achieve these in a few days but we can  achieve some of them with positive mind.

       One of the most important thing which plays a vital role is in GDs is our confidence . Attending mock GD's with friend's or in an institute helps a lot. We should note some things while the Group Discussion is going on (so It is advisable to maintain a note) . It is also useful to summaries the points in Group Discussion. Divide the page into two parts and one side write your thoughts or ideas and on other side write ideas came across in the discussion(by other participants).

     You must appear at least four to five times in a eight minute GD(Group Discussion). And you can use many approaches to begin the topic like keyword approach to got the topic. For example the topic is " capitalization or liberalization which is good for our country" by keyword approach you have to analyze the topic like what is capitalization and what is renationalisation like that. And you not suppose to begin the topic until unless you think you can make a right contribution to the topic given.

Some expected questions in personal interview(common for many MBA institutes)

Tell me about your self?( for this question they expect you to tell about how your skills contribute MBA because they already know your personal details through resume)?
Why you choose this Business School?
Why you choose MBA while other options u have (like higher degree,job etc)?
How do u think this institute better than others?( you can tale place it situated like that)

you may expect some technical questions relating to your stream

you may stop Other group members by saying phrases like "I am agreeing with you".you should not give much gap in the sentences while you saying because somebody may interfere you .

It is difficult to remember the names of the group members in short period of time so you can call them by numbers like num1,num2 etc.

Some Institutes give Group Task also in the selection process. It is a task you have to solve by coordinating with other team members.
